Even though she spent three years locked up in the family home, one woman’s experience wasn’t all bad. She found love in an unlikely location in Zengeza—with a pastor there.
It was Talent’s grandmother Mary Mushore who confirmed this kinship, providing a ray of hope in the face of hardship.
“Apart from the trials Talent faces from the tormenting man, one of the pastors who prays for her has expressed a desire to marry her,” Gogo Mushore said.
Demonstrating the sincerity of the pastor’s intentions, they made arrangements for a beautician to cut Talent’s hair inside the house in an effort to help them bond.

“We allocate them private time in her room to nurture their affection, prioritising her safety by keeping her indoors,” Gogo Mushore said.
She reminded him of a time when she had gone outside and been attacked, so she stressed how important it was to keep Talent indoors.
For Talent, the possibility of getting married to the clergyman is a ray of hope that could mean an end to her struggles.
