The Joyful Praise Choir (JPC), best known for their hit song “Ngoro Yeminana,” a popular Zimbabwean gospel group recognized for their impressive vocal performances and uplifting music, on September 27th, 2024, attracted recognition for their performance in Leicester, United Kingdom, where they displayed a unique blend of traditional African sounds and contemporary gospel music, leaving a huge impression on the global gospel scene.
Showbiz reached out to Pastor Rudo Madindi, one of JPC’s founding founders. “It is a mandate that was given to us by God. In 2018, the Lord instructed Pastor Gamaliel to engage in what we refer to as “Global Impact Administration”. This is where we serve outside the borders of Zimbabwe and Africa. Everything that Joyful Praise Choir does is not humanly orchestrated but planned by God,” she said.

Through African dances and languages, they have represented Christ and African history in performances throughout Southern Africa and are gradually branching out globally.”The good news of Christ is what we want to communicate with our music. As Jesus instructs His disciples to “go therefore and proclaim the gospel,” we are Christ’s ambassadors, and we do it by using music,” Pastor Rudo stated. She added that as they assist in reshaping lives in accordance with God’s plan, they are writing songs that speak out against drug usage and immorality.
JPC was featured by Sir Benjamin Rupapa and Nkululi Bhebhe, who are some of the finest gospel musicians in Zimbabwe, during their performances in Leicester. This added a unique flavor to the stage with their different styles.
The future looks bright, according to what she shared. Pastor Madindi promised a UK Burlingame tour, vocal tutorials, recorded music, and conventions for 2025.
The Joyful Praise Choir continues to spread hope and joy through their music, inspiring many around the world. With their commitment to their mission and upcoming projects, they are set to make an even greater impact in the global gospel community, shining a light on African heritage and the message of Christ.
