Preparations are almost complete for the Kadoma Music Festival, which will bring excitement to The Odyssey this weekend. The event has become one of Zimbabwe’s top entertainment shows, featuring both local and international artists, and is expected to attract thousands of music fans.
Headlining this year’s edition are Jamaican sensations Busy Signal and Chris Martin have both expressed excitement about performing in Zimbabwe.
“Expect the unexpected. Zimbabwe has so much talent. I’m proud to be part of this festival and open to collaborating with local artists. We’re all about positivity and love,” said Busy Signal.
Chris Martin echoed the same enthusiasm, promising an energetic performance.
“I will give my all and bring that energy for everyone who supports the music. Let’s meet in Kadoma,” he said.
Both artists hinted at possible collaborations with Zimbabwean musicians and expressed interest in working with emerging talent in the region.
Adding to the star-studded line-up is Julian King, who will make a special return to Zimbabwe after six years.
“It’s been a long journey, and coming back to share the stage with such big artists means the world to me,” said King.
The local music scene will also be well represented, with performances by Freeman HKD, Feli Nandi, Qounfuzed, and Makore, all set to bring their unique sounds to the festival.
Event organiser Prince Mharadze said this year’s festival is not only about showcasing music but also about celebrating unity and driving local economic growth.
“This year, we wanted to go bigger by bringing in Busy Signal and Chris Martin to headline the show. It’s not just about music, it’s about boosting the local economy and putting Kadoma on the map,” said Mharadze.
The Kadoma Music Festival has previously hosted regional giants such as Jah Prayzah and Makhadzi, cementing its reputation as one of Zimbabwe’s premier entertainment events. With massive crowds expected to flood Kadoma, this weekend’s spectacle promises a fusion of rhythm, culture, and celebration, a true feast for music lovers across the nation.
