A Mashava-based film production house, In-house Media, has made a giant partnership with Zimpapers Television Network which will see its upcoming film premiering on the new television channel.
The film ‘Intab’Enkulu’s scenes were shot entirely in the Mashava community and hence the first premier of the film will be there on Friday.
‘’We worked well with the community there getting all the help we needed. We are based there full time and hope to bring life to the area in terms of film.
‘’The film will be premiered first in Mashava on the 26th to give the community a glimpse of what they helped to make. It will be taken to Harare then Bulawayo the next two days respectively,’’ said Admire Kanhenga one of the In-house Media Directors.
Intab’Enkulu is about uncovering the myth of the sacred mountain called Gomoguru Mystery Mountain located in the small town of Mashava which is ‘Chisomo’ in the film.
‘’It had always been perceived that whoever goes up the mountain will not return contrary to the fact that Hilary, a white man has his house up the mountain but nothing happens to him, making everything to the community a myth,’’ adds Kanhenga.
Intab’Enkulu’s cast is seeking therefore to solve the myth.
‘’We don’t know if they will be able to solve the myth, but that’s their mission,” the In-House boss reckons.
The premiere in Harare will be at Theatre In the Park,Harare Gardens on 27 August 2022 from 5pm and tickets are going for USD$10 available at the venue.
The film was directed by Kuda Bryan Bwititi and will be showing on ZTN Prime (DSTV) Channel 294 in September.
