NetOne Pvt Ltd, in partnership with Zim Smart Village, has launched a telemedicine virtual hospital, marking a significant milestone in healthcare innovation and accessibility in Zimbabwe.
The launch, which took place on Saturday, was attended by dignitaries and healthcare professionals, and was made possible through the vision and dedication of Her Excellency, the First Lady of Zimbabwe, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa.
According to NetOne Pvt Ltd Group Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Raphael Mushanawani, the telemedicine virtual hospital is a testament to the power of technology in bridging the digital gap and extending vital healthcare services to even the most remote areas of the country.
“Through this initiative, we are committed to making healthcare access readily available to every Zimbabwean, regardless of their location,” Engineer Mushanawani said.
“We are empowered by Her Excellency’s unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in our nation, and we are grateful for her belief in this vision and her unwavering support in uplifting communities and women across Zimbabwe,” Mushanawani said.
The telemedicine virtual hospital is expected to revolutionize healthcare in Zimbabwe, providing access to quality healthcare services to millions of Zimbabweans, particularly in rural and remote areas. The platform will enable patients to consult with healthcare professionals remotely, reducing the need for physical visits to healthcare facilities.
The launch of the telemedicine virtual hospital is a significant step forward in the country’s efforts to improve healthcare accessibility and outcomes, and demonstrates the potential of technology in transforming the healthcare sector.
