SOUTH AFRICA-based producer, Daril Bbs, has accused rapper Ti Gonzi of stealing the instrumental he uploaded on YouTube about 10 months ago.
The instrumental, uploaded by Daril Bbs, is titled Hard Notes Guitar Instrument.
Daril Bbs was convinced that Ti Gonzi used his instrumental on his song Kepele Juve featuring Anita Jaxson, off his new album Hipu Hopu Yekughetto Volume 2.
The instrumental, uploaded by Daril Bbs on July 9 2021 on YouTube, however, sounds a lot similar to the one used by Ti Gonzi.
Contacted for comment, Ti Gonzi said he did not know who Daril Bbs was.
“I actually do not know who Daril Bbs is because the song was paid for.
“Where does he think I got the instrumental?”
In a statement, Daril said he was ready to sue the producer, who produced Ti Gonzi’s song.
“I am a producer based in Cape Town. The instrumental used by Ti Gonzi on his new song Kepele Juve featuring Anita I uploaded it 10 months ago on YouTube.
“Evidence is there, on YouTube, and I can even sue the producer who did that song,” said Daril Bbs.
However, the producer of Rare Music Infinity, who produced the song Kepele Juve, declined a phone interview when contacted by H-Metro.
He wanted a face-to-face interview at his office.Daril Bbs is a producer who has worked with Zimbabwean and Jamaican artists such as Villain, Tapa, Rus Kvt and others.
