VETERAN broadcaster and philanthropist, Tilder Moyo, has credited her success to her followers after she was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the seventh edition of the Zororo/Phumulani Zimbabwe Achievers Awards South Africa edition.
The event, running under the theme “A Perfect Celebration Of Open Horizons”, was held at The Venue Melrose Arch in Johannesburg, on Saturday.
The Star FM presenter was recognised for her contribution to the broadcasting fraternity over a period spanning over three decades.
The veteran broadcaster has also been involved in community building initiatives, around the country, as well as in Zimbabwean prisons.
“I want to thank God and also my followers for the support.
“This couldn’t be possible without them. I owe all this to them because they are playing a very important role in making all the work I do a success.
“I thank God for that,” said Tilder, in her acceptance speech.
Some of the people, who were honoured, include SuperSport United and Warriors star, Kuda Mahachi, who received the Sports Personality of the Year award.
This year’s edition saw a new category introduced, the Farmer of the Year, with organisers highlighting that there has been a rise in Zimbabwean farmers in South Africa.
Justin Dziruni won the award.
