Popular Zimbabwean comedienne and social media personality Madam Boss, whose real name is Tyra Chikocho, has publicly disclosed that she has been diagnosed with Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST)—a rare and serious form of stroke caused by a blood clot in the brain’s venous sinuses.
The news came to light after Madam Boss posted an emotional message on her official Instagram account, asking her followers for prayers and support. Her post included the heartfelt plea “Mongoita Muchinamatirawo hanti… I pray for all those with the same condition to be healed in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.”
CVST is a life-threatening condition in which a blood clot forms in the brain’s venous sinuses, preventing proper blood drainage. This can result in increased pressure inside the skull, brain swelling, and even bleeding. Symptoms often include severe headaches, vision problems, seizures, or other neurological issues. Prompt medical attention is critical for managing the condition effectively.
Despite the diagnosis, Madam Boss remains strong and is using her platform to raise awareness about CVST. She not only asked for prayers for herself but also extended her support to others living with the same condition. Her message has inspired many, turning her personal health challenge into a moment of shared strength and hope for those affected by similarly medical issues.
