Police in Chegutu, Mashonaland West, have arrested 22 youths, aged 15 to 25, for drug abuse and disorderly conduct at a wild party.
The party, disguised as a birthday celebration, was organised by 23-year-old Tinashe Kamunda, who created WhatsApp groups to advertise the event.
Attendance required a payment of $2 for boys and $1 for girls, with an additional $5 charge for liquor.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the party, arresting 15 boys and 7 girls and confiscating items like stubs of smoked dagga, unused condoms, liquor, and shisha smoking equipment.
Kamunda was charged with disorderly conduct and paid a fine, while the other youths received lesser charges and were released to their parents after depositing fines.
