Abraham Matuka, a Zimbabwean artist, is set to make waves across Africa and Asia with his collaborative project, “Africa, Asia- China Relationship”. This ambitious endeavor follows the success of his 2015 single, “Africa and China”, which celebrated the blossoming relationship between the two nations.
Matuka’s inspiration struck during a 2015 seminar on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in China, where he witnessed the empowering efforts of the Chinese government towards African delegates. He penned the song to appreciate China’s generosity and performed it at various Chinese gatherings in Zimbabwe.
This year, Matuka traveled to China for another seminar, where he connected with African and Asian delegates, further solidifying his vision. He performed “Africa and China” at the closing ceremony, receiving a standing ovation from delegates who sang along in joyous spirits.
