An armed robber sexually assaulted an Ruwa lady on Saturday in full view of her husband and daughter. When the armed robber assaulted the thirty-year-old woman at around 11 p.m., he was accompanied by four other robbers who were carrying knives.
Two solar panels on the borehole, a Huawei, an iPhone, four blankets, two pairs of shoes, and a variety of clothing were taken by the bandits. Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, a spokesman for the Harare provincial police, verified the incident.
“In Ruwa, police are looking into cases of rape and armed robbery.
“Five accused individuals broke open the door and entered the house while the complainants and their nine-year-old daughter were watching television in the living.
While the other three accused held knives that were not identified, one accused individual was brandishing an unidentifiable firearm and pointing it at the complainants.
“The complainants told the accused people they had no money, yet they nonetheless tied their hands with a rope and demanded it.

“The daughter was ordered to lie down and she later untied her parents after the robbers went away with goods worth more than US$300,” said Insp Chakanza.
