Preparations have been finalized for the Independence Day festivities in Murambinda, heralding the commencement of the Children’s Party today .
Three thousand five hundred kids are expected to attend the occasion, and President Mnangagwa and First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa are prepared to greet the youthful delegates.
Furthermore, the President is scheduled to give 1,000 computers to Buhera District, which will be distributed to all of the district’s schools under the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education’s supervision.

The progress made in preparing for the Children’s Party and the Independence Anniversary Celebrations was revealed by Dr. Jenfan Muswere, Minister of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services, during a press briefing held after the Cabinet meeting.
Notable among the completed projects are the refurbishment of the Main Arena, football field terraces, locker rooms, restrooms, and classroom buildings at Murambinda A and B Primary Schools as well as Murambinda B Secondary School.
Furthermore, additional improvements such as the desludging of ablution facilities and the erection of perimeter fences have been successfully carried out.
Moreover, the operations related to road grading and maintenance have been effectively completed. The Independence Flame Roadshow is currently on motion and will stop at a number of locales before making its big finale on April 17, 2024, at the main arena in Dzapasi.
The Ministry of Information, Publicity, and Broadcasting Services will set up LED screens at the Children’s Party venue as well as the Main Arena to accommodate the expected big audience.
The Ministry is vigorously promoting the Independence theme, highlighting the accomplishments of the Second Republic, and highlighting the importance of Independence Day through the use of bioscope teams and billboards.
The Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage will be responsible for managing the security plans for the events.During the festivities, two football matches are also planned to be played on April 17, Simba Bhora vs. Manica Diamonds, and on April 18, 2024, Highlanders Football Club vs. Dynamos Football Club.
