A suspected cattle thief was apprehended in Buhera near Chigodora village by locals before he could carry out his plan.
The man was found carrying two knives, a large black plastic, a white sack, and a rope used for controlling cattle.
In a video seen by Showbiz, The cattle rustler is questioned about these items, he claimed he intended to use the plastic for carrying vegetables and the sack for buying maize in Chigodora.
He said that he uses the knives to cut bananas and taro roots(madhumbe) . There were traces of meat and blood on the knives.
He denied being a thief, but later confessed to stealing cattle, goats, and chickens.
He had spent the past eight and a half months in jail and was recently released after completing his sentence. This was his first attempt to steal in Buhera since his release.
Many people in Buhera have suffered greatly from thieves who have harmed their domestic livestock. This incident has angered them, and they are urging police officers and neighbors to continue helping each other with such problems.
