A woman from Mutambara has shared a rather unconventional aspect of her marriage: she has been breastfeeding her husband for several years.
Nancy Mutsakani recently spoke before Chief Mutambara about her tumultuous relationship, revealing that she had secretly weaned their youngest child just a few months earlier, in August. This decision sparked conflict with her husband, known as Marowa.
Upon learning that Nancy had stopped breastfeeding their youngest child without telling him, Marowa allegedly reacted violently. In her testimony, Nancy detailed the unusual dynamic of their relationship, explaining that she not only nursed their children but also shared her breast milk with Marowa. She described instances where she would feed their baby from one breast while her husband latched onto the other, with Marowa often expressing enjoyment, calling her milk “sweet.”
The situation intensified when Marowa discovered that Nancy had weaned their youngest child. In a fit of anger, he confronted her about the change and responded aggressively.
Nancy expressed her feelings, stating, “I loved him so much that I fed him with my breast milk without any objections.” She reflected on the unique bond this created between them, mentioning how their toddler playfully switched between her and Marowa, much to his amusement.
However, Marowa strongly denied Nancy’s claims, asserting, “She is lying. She never breastfed me. This is all nonsense meant to hide her dark secret.” He accused Nancy of being unfaithful, alleging she had been seen with another man, John Sandirawo, implying a relationship beyond friendship.
As the couple’s opposing accounts unfolded in court, tensions rose. Marowa’s accusations of infidelity shifted focus to their marital issues, suggesting that their conflicts ran deeper than just the breastfeeding matter. Nancy revealed that she had decided to move on from Marowa, even filing for divorce due to his persistent demands for breast milk and the violence that followed her decision to wean their child.
Chief Mutambara, recognizing the complexity of their situation, advised both parties to involve their families in seeking resolution. He emphasized that deeper issues, such as the allegations of infidelity, should be addressed outside the courtroom, advocating for family mediation in such personal conflicts.
In an unexpected twist, the chief cleared John Sandirawo of any misconduct, stating that Nancy had informed him she was single when they were seen together. This revelation added further complexity to their relationship, leaving the community to reflect on the strange dynamics of love and marriage, as well as the hidden complexities that often lie beneath the surface.
