Thirty people were injured and ten people died in a South African tragedy involving a bus that was traveling from Zimbabwe to Johannesburg.

Wednesday morning, just after midnight, the incident happened. The driver, who was apparently not familiar with the area, reportedly rushed over a roundabout on the N1 highway near Makhado, causing the bus to topple, according to reports.

The ten victims—five men and five women—were all foreign nationals, according to Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC Violet Mathye, who verified the disaster.

Twelve of the more than thirty people who were hurt were in critical condition. Mathye said:

The bus reportedly crossed the final roundabout on the route from Makhado to Polokwane at a fast rate of speed, lost control, and overturned, killing and wounding its occupants.
