IT was a night of awe, fun and excitement as celebrities, socialites, nightclub owners and tourism officials among other personalities, descended on Private Lounge on Wednesday night.
This midweek party was hosted to celebrate the Special Recognition Award that was received by the club at the recently held Sanganai/Hlanganani Tourism Expo.
Some of the familiar faces that graced the party included Stunner, Taytan, Sulumani Chimbetu, Boss Spencer, Benji Nyandoro, First Farai, Fuzzy L and Karikoga Kaseke to name just a few.
With the queen of pole dancing Zoey Sifelani billed to showcase her moves on the night, Private Lounge dancers brought their ‘A’ game from start to finish – giving patrons an excellent striptease experience. The DJs kept the groove on a high, alternating between soft mellow music and high tempo danceable tunes.
When Zoey took to the stage just after midnight, she mesmerised the crowd with her seductive dancing skills, adding energy to the already electric atmosphere. The party continued into the wee hours of Thursday morning, which is uncharacteristic of a midweek party under normal circumstances.
The success of this party rubbishes social media rumours that circulated prior to the event claiming that the club had been gutted by fire.
In an interview, the club’s manager Gloria Tshabalala said she was happy with the success of the party and thanked everyone who had come to support.
“The party has exceeded our expectations considering the fact that there were some elements that were peddling lies on social media about the club being gutted by fire but as you can see there is no damage whatsoever.
“I want to thank everyone who came to join us in celebrating our achievement and all our loyal customers who support us,” said Tshabalala.
She also said that it was a great honour to have received an award at such a prestigious international event.
“We are really humbled to be recognised at such a high profile event and this shows that we are doing something right in the entertainment industry.”
Private Lounge is located in Harare Street, next to the newly opened exclusive club, Zansibar and Holly’s Night Club.
