After collecting funding from Wistmer Investment, the Municipality of Chitungwiza has declared the masterplan preparation process.
The Council said it will soon host consultation meetings with the community, with team members immediately identified by their distinctive bibs.
The master plan is being prepared by Council Resolution 14, which was approved during the 463rd Ordinary Council Meeting on March 13, 2020.

With support from the Harare Metropolitan Provincial office, the council also hosted stakeholder consultation meetings on August 30 and 31, 2022, at Margolis Resort, and September 22, 2022, at Aquatic Complex.
The crew at the municipality is working nonstop to ensure that the project is completed by June 30. They are available around the clock.
The business has pledged to provide funding for the creation of the town’s master plan, which will open the door for large-scale infrastructure and service upgrades.
The community will be consulted during the development of the master plan, which will give people’ demands top priority.
To help with the development projects, Wistmer Investment will lend money to the municipality, which must be repaid over ten years.
Residents are now appreciating the partnership’s advantages and anticipating the positive changes it will bring, despite some initial reluctance.
“We are tired of living in a town with poor roads and inadequate services,” said one Kudakwashe Mhonda. “We welcome Westmer Investment’s commitment to developing our town and improving our lives.”
The development plans include upgrading roads, building new schools and clinics, and providing modern housing facilities.
