Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best footballers in the world, complained about his expenses on his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Junior, in an interview.
In 2020, Ronaldo became the first footballer to reach a net worth of one billion dollars.
Ronaldo said, “To be honest, my son is very expensive for me. He wastes almost $40,000 a week on haircuts, clothes, restaurants, and his girlfriends.”
“I know he is young and wants everything, but that is too much for a kid of his age. Now I give him a weekly allowance of $15,000, but Georgina, his stepmother, still thinks that is too much for him. He spends all his money on useless things,” he added.
Ronaldo continued, “I don’t know if I will be able to handle his expenses in the future. I want him to suffer in life so that he can understand the real value of money, but if I do that, the media will say that I am selfish and a bad father. I have no option but to deal with it.” Cristiano Ronaldo Junior expenses

Here are some public comments on social media:
Wamundila Aongola: “All you have said is true and wise. But don’t follow what you think people will say; follow what you know is right for your son. As you do what is right, sit him down and tell him why you are doing it. He needs to be disciplined even as he enjoys the provisions of his father.”
Natalie Dankers: “Don’t worry about the media. He is your child, your responsibility. You understand what it is to work for success and to have nothing. You have been there, so you have all the necessary wisdom to teach him.”
Paul Sunday: “Discipline is the best teacher.”
Chisom Agoha: “You are a good dad.”
