Cynthia Breaks Silence: ‘This Was Not Rape, It Was a Deal Gone Wrong’

Cynthia, a close friend of Mai Jeremaya’s husband, has spoken out following the collapse of the rape case involving Mai Jeremaya and two men, Thabo Blessing Dube and Martin Charlie.

Speaking candidly, Cynthia described the saga as spiritual warfare, saying, “We are dealing with a Jezebel spirit,” and claimed the situation was a “deal that went wrong.”

The court recently ruled in favour of the accused, sparking widespread debate on social media. While some believe Mai Jeremaya was genuinely violated, others suspect that the incident was transactional and misrepresented as rape.

According to Cynthia, the events of the day began when someone allegedly contacted Mai Jeremaya with a request to promote their trucking company. She explained that Mai Jeremaya left home at around 12 noon and only returned after 8 p.m.

“When she came back, she said, ‘I’m not okay; I was raped,’” Cynthia recalled. “But when I asked her repeatedly what had happened, she kept changing her mood. That’s when I started to suspect that something was not adding up.”

Cynthia claimed that Mai Jeremaya may have expected a higher payment than what she received, leading her to make the rape claim.

“In my view, it was a deal gone wrong. She was expecting more money but got very little,” she said.

The story has drawn mixed reactions online, with some supporting Mai Jeremaya and demanding justice, while others accuse her of falsely accusing the men out of frustration or financial disappointment.
