An Indian business delegation that is in the country to scout for local business opportunities has met Vice President Dr Constantino Chiwenga.
The Indian captains of industry, fund managers, and entrepreneurs took huge interest in Zimbabwe’s investment opportunities after listening to a compelling pitch by VP Chiwenga at the recently held Africa Conclave on India-Africa Partnership in New Delhi.
The delegation is also scheduled to visit other African countries.
The visit by the Indian business delegation comes at a time when the Asian economic behemoth, which is the world’s fifth-largest economy, is angling to ramp up its investment foothold in the country and Africa as a whole.

Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Bramha Kumar said some members of the delegation are prepared to
immediately set up shop in the country through partnerships with local companies.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce Mangaliso Ndhlovu said he will meet the delegation with other officials later in the afternoon to discuss partnerships and investment opportunities in various sectors.
