Marketing expert Mr. Douglas Mamvura will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Venon Chamba Business Seminar on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
This much-anticipated event, a highlight in the annual business calendar, attracts a wide range of entrepreneurs and business professionals. It will be hosted at Batanai Gardens, with the central theme of “The Power of Imagination.”
Mr. Mamvura, a seasoned professional in the marketing industry, is set to offer valuable insights and strategies aimed at both young entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners. His vast experience, particularly in the financial sector, makes him a highly sought-after speaker.
He began his career at Coca-Cola Central Africa, where he held the position of Regional Brands and Research Manager, overseeing marketing efforts across nine countries in the SADC region.
He also served as the CEO of Premier Banking Corporation Limited, which later rebranded to Ecobank. In addition to these roles, Mr. Mamvura has held senior positions, including Head of Marketing at both Standard Chartered Bank and Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe. He also led retail banking at Trust Bank.
Furthermore, he has served on the boards of major companies such as Zimbabwe Allied Banking Group Limited (ZABG), Pioneer Corporation Africa Limited, African Sun Limited, and Zimnat Lion Insurance Company Ltd.
He is an Associate Member of the American Marketing Institute and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from the University of Zimbabwe, as well as a Master of Business Leadership degree from the University of South Africa.

In addition to Mr. Mamvura’s presentation, the event will feature Tembalami, a prominent local gospel artist, who will set the tone for the seminar with his inspiring praise and worship music. The seminar will be attended by a host of distinguished guests, further elevating the event’s status.
