A 43-year-old man, Duncan Chiwaya, was reportedly stabbed to death by his wife in Mabvuku, Harare, following allegations of infidelity.
According to ZBC News, police had just removed Chiwaya’s body when their crew arrived, leaving family members to clean up bloodstains inside the house.
Chiwaya’s mother, Janet Dumbu, expressed her devastation, stating that she was unaware of any serious issues in her son’s marriage.
She was shocked to find him lying in a pool of blood while his wife remained nearby.

Neighbor Ellen Luundi, who had previously mediated in the couple’s disputes, confirmed that they had been facing marital challenges. She revealed:
“They had been having problems, and the wife accused Chiwaya of infidelity. Last week, she had packed her bags, intending to leave, but I helped them reconcile.”
Luundi added that she had several missed calls from Chiwaya that morning. However, by the time she tried to return the call, it was too late—a child arrived at her door with the heartbreaking news.
Chiwaya, who worked at the Women’s University in Africa, is survived by his wife and their three-year-old child.
