GZE Solidifies His Return with Freestyle Fridays CompilationVeteran wordsmith GZE has spent the last three months cleaning off the rust that collected after his forced two-year rap vacation owing to a potentially fatal accident.
The freestyles he released every Friday served as therapy for him, as he put it in a recent StarFM interview, as the discomfort from his injuries and fatigue from his rehabilitation seeped through from his pen into his lyrical delivery.
The tracks from the Freestyler Fridays series are now accessible on all streaming services as a single compilation project. The first two official singles from GZE‘s eagerly awaited solo effort Chekera were released after a three-month buildup of releases.
Hondo NeRudo and Ka That So are his self-titled project’s first two singles. Both have garnered favorable reviews, with Ka That So becoming as GZE‘s biggest solo single. Just over a week after its release, the song is rapidly approaching 100,000 views.
