Highfield Tragedy: Man Loses Life in Confrontation Over Wife’s Alleged Affair
A man from Highfield tragically lost his life after being assaulted by relatives of his wife when he allegedly caught her engaging in a sexual relationship with her married uncle on Sunday.
The man, Norman Nyama, confronted his wife, Grace Maparangu’s mother, and in the heat of the moment, insults were exchanged. In retaliation, Grace enlisted the help of her relatives who physically attacked Norman.

Following the assault, Norman was immediately rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital, where he sadly passed away yesterday.
Grace informed to a local publication, that Norman had publicly humiliated her mother by undressing her, which greatly angered the entire family.
She said, “I did what I did, and I don’t regret it. However, I cannot tolerate the disrespect shown to my mother in such a shameful manner.” Grace’s statement reflected the collective fury of her family.
According to reports, Grace’s illicit affair with her uncle was her fourth extramarital affair, as evidenced by a video that circulated on social media four months ago, capturing her naked encounter with another married man, which also led to an assault.
Norman and Grace had a history of domestic violence, resulting in frequent visits to Machipisa Police Station.
Despite being together for 12 years, the couple did not have any children.
Grace has chosen not to attend the funeral, citing two reasons: Norman had not paid lobola (a traditional bride price), and she feared potential retribution from his relatives.
The body of Norman is awaiting a post-mortem examination at this time.
