Invictus Energy Makes Significant Gas and Petroleum Discoveries in Muzarabani

Geo Associates and Invictus Energy, engaged in oil and gas exploration in the Muzarabani Basin, have announced significant new discoveries of high-quality gas and petroleum products. This update was provided by Mines and Mining Development Minister Zhemu Soda earlier this Monday.

Invictus Energy, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: IVZ) and the OTC Markets (OTCQB: IVCTF), is

an independent upstream oil and gas company with assets in the Cabora Bassa Basin in Zimbabwe. The company’s recent drilling activities, including the maiden Mukuyu-1/ST1 well in SG 4571, have identified 13 potential hydrocarbon-bearing zones, confirming the presence of a working hydrocarbon system in the basin.

The company is now preparing to drill the Mukuyu-2 appraisal well, targeting multiple hydrocarbon-bearing intervals encountered in the Mukuyu-1/ST1 well. This includes the Upper Angwa and Pebbly Arkose formations, with the aim of confirming a gas-condensate discovery. Additionally, Mukuyu-2 will explore deeper formations such as the undrilled Lower Angwa and test the Post Dande horizon, providing further exploration opportunities.

The discoveries represent significant progress in the exploration and development of the Muzarabani Basin, with the potential for substantial reserves of gas-condensate and potentially light oil.
