Makakosha Business Network set the Record Straight

A rogue outfit led by Albert Takudzwa Chigiya says that the recently hosted Makakosha Business Network MBN Glam Awards are fraudulent, making attention-seeking false allegations against a law-abiding business.

This follows MBN’s triumphant organization of an exceptional awards ceremony to recognize Zimbabweans who have achieved entrepreneurial success.

Partner Mandipa Mashoko criticized Albert’s claims in an interview, saying they hurt the company’s reputation.

Makakosha Business Network was the host organization for the MBN 2024 Glam Awards. It’s crucial to remember that this event is not the same as the Glam Awards that Albert brought up,” Mandipa Mashoko stated.

“We wish to make it clear that we have no connection to ‘The Glam Awards’.

a phrase entirely unrelated to our name. The English term “Glam” is a common word that is not owned by any person or entity. Please take note that MBN 2024 Glam Awards appears on all of our certificates and promotional materials.

“We were not aware of any group holding an event of this nature. As seen by Albert’s event five years ago, these events—despite having the same name—are completely distinct and cater to very different demographics, according to Mandipa Mashoko.

As he founded The Glam Awards, Albert Takudzwa Chigiya claimed in an interview with Showbiz that MBN stole his idea.

“I founded The Glam Awards targeting the youth from 14 years to 31 years, and some of the awards are given to Midlands State University,” Albert said.

“I am going to take legal action to pursue legal action against an event falsely advertised at Golden Conifer, wrongly marketed as The Glam Awards,” Albert stated.

Mandipa Mashoko responded to these claims made by Chigiya by saying, “We are shocked by Albert,” and that Makakosha Business Network Glam Awards is registered with relatives offices in Zimbabwe.

Albert Takudzwa Chigiya indicated his intention to pursue legal action, citing copyright infringement and misrepresentation.

In support of his charges, the publications could not acquire supporting evidence that is recorded until the time of publishing.

A copyright expert told the publication that there are numerous Glam Awards Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Glam Awards, and that the word “Glam” is an English word that no one can claim.
