The Mighty Warriors slipped two spots in the most recent FIFA Rankings unveiled last Friday.
After their triumphant return to international football in October at the COSAFA Women’s Championship, where they secured a commendable fourth-place finish, the team faced challenges in participating in the 2024 AWCON Qualifiers due to ongoing sanctions during the draw.
Despite the setback, the team’s determination was evident, but Namibia and Georgia’s point gains led to their descent to 127th place globally. Regionally, they now stand at 19th.
Nigeria maintains its top spot in the African rankings, while Spain, the newly crowned world champions, lead the global table.
