Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Mhona Felix, accompanied by Harare Minister of State and Devolution, Charles Tawengwa, has arrived for the groundbreaking ceremony in Mt. Hampden . The project is expected to be completed by July 31st, ahead of the Sadc Summit in August.
Mhona Felix stated that, in collaboration with ZINARA, the government will be providing fuel to road authorities to expedite and accelerate road projects across the country. This initiative aims to ensure the continuity of infrastructural projects in various parts of the nation.

Everything is prepared for the Groundbreaking Ceremony for access roads leading to the New Parliament Building in Mt. Hampden, Harare. As ZINARA, we are committed to making a meaningful contribution towards Vision 2030.
Mhona also mentioned that the government plans to reintroduce maintenance units for road upkeep nationwide, in addition to launching a passenger train service from Harare to Bulawayo. With the implementation of these projects, Vision 2030 becomes a tangible reality.
Furthermore, Mhona Felix announced that the government will conduct inspections of all the country’s trunk roads.
