Paputo Set To Release Debut Album
Upcoming contemporary afro fusion artist Carlos Taraswa popularly known as “Paputo” said he is working on his first album set to be released this year.
“I want to release my first album this year, I have been releasing singles in the last five years.
“I think now is the right time, I have managed to learn a lot.
“Plus the country is now ready for my music judging by the response we are getting, every time we perform live shows”, he said.
Paputo said his wish is to became an international artist.
“In five years time, I am hoping and praying that my wish of becoming a famous artist in the country and worldwide would be a reality,” he explained.
Paputo has been in the music industry for five years.
His best offering to date is “Chikomo” which, surpassed expectations, released in 2021 was played on Africa’s biggest satellite television (DSTV) channel Trace Africa.
It is a gospel song that was shot in Harare.
The Njanji tribe band front man said in future he wishes to collaborate with artist like Jah Prayzer, Mbeu and Tamy.
His latest offering “wakaunza rudo” will definitely win many hearts, it is a love song, which cuts across all age groups.
