Parliament Accepts Resignations of CCC MPs

Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda, has confirmed the receipt of resignation letters from former Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Members of Parliament, Fadzayi Mahere and Allan Markham.

The resignations, submitted by Mahere and Markham, who respectively represented Mt Pleasant and Harare East constituencies, followed closely on the heels of their party leader Nelson Chamisa’s departure from the opposition party.

“Parliament received letters from Fadzayi Mahere and Allan Markham on January 29 and 31 respectively, advising of their resignation from Parliament with immediate effect,” Mudenda stated.
