President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has officially opened Phase Two of the highly anticipated Madokero Shopping Mall and Madokero Creek Housing Complex.
The two sprawling developments, owned by the Public Service Pension Fund, are in alignment with the nation’s Vision 2030, aiming to enhance retirement prospects for public servants.
Spanning an impressive 202 hectares, the Madokero project is a mixed-use and integrated housing development that promises to revolutionize the urban landscape.
The development boasts 1,700 housing units, 30 industrial stands, a regional commercial centre, a medical centre, and five schools, among other essential social amenities.
Amid much anticipation, President Mnangagwa toured the premises, unveiling a commemorative plaque to mark the momentous occasion.
The President also participated in a tree-planting ceremony at the Madokero Creek Housing Complex, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and progress.
Speaking at the inauguration, President Mnangagwa emphasized the significance of the project in addressing the housing and commercial needs of the nation.
He lauded the Public Service Pension Fund’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure and creating an enabling environment for public servants to thrive.
The Madokero Mall and Housing Complex are expected to stimulate economic growth, create employment opportunities, and improve the overall living standards of residents.
The regional commercial centre aims to attract local and international businesses, fostering trade and commerce within the area.
The housing units within the complex offer modern and comfortable living spaces, designed to cater to the diverse needs of residents.
With a range of amenities, including schools and medical facilities, the development prioritizes the well-being and convenience of its occupants.

The project was undertaken in collaboration with Exodus and Company, a prominent construction company that has completed numerous private and government projects, establishing its reputation as a trusted industry leader.
