Simba Bhora Continues to Dominate, Remaining Unbeaten at Wadzanai Stadium

Simba Bhora-On a day when their main rivals, Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum, both dropped points in away draws, Tonderai Ndiraya’s team managed to maintain their winning streak.

Facing a challenging match against a team that had previously beaten them in Shamva during their Division One rivalry, Simba Bhora showed they are a different side this time. Despite the controversy surrounding their abandoned Chibuku Super Cup match against Highlanders, they remained focused and professional in their return to action.

Utilizing their height, structure, and fitness, Simba Bhora dominated the match. They took the lead when Ishmael Nyanhi headed in a curling cross from Walter Musona into the bottom corner. Before halftime, the hosts, unbeaten at home, doubled their lead with Mthokozisi Msebe scoring from a well-executed play.

Ndiraya expressed satisfaction with the result, praising his team’s performance. “I commend the boys for keeping another clean sheet, but we need to focus more on getting results. The race isn’t over yet; there are still seven games to go, and anything can happen.”

Pirates coach Maxwell Takaendesa Jongwe echoed the sentiment that the league title race is still competitive. “We are still in the Premier League until we are mathematically out. We need to win games to stay in the league, and there are still 21 points to fight for,” he stated.
