The incident comes on the heels of another car accident involving Xolwa, an artist from the same record label. Earlier this month, Xolwa (real name Xolani Shabalala) was involved in a minor crash while driving his BMW 4-Series to the studio. Fortunately, he sustained only minor injuries.
Big Zulu’s accident occurred shortly after the release of his latest single, “Amacala Othando,” featuring Azana. The song, which explores themes of love and marital challenges, has received praise from both fans and critics alike. Azana described working with Big Zulu as “an answered prayer,” calling him a “living legend.”
Reflecting on the collaboration, Big Zulu shared his excitement, saying, “We were just jamming in the studio, and we never anticipated something so magical would come out of it.”
As news of the accident spreads, South Africans and the hip-hop community have united to pray for the artist’s recovery. Fans and fellow musicians remain optimistic that Big Zulu will bounce back and continue to inspire audiences with his talent and resilience.
