The UCL Institute of Education (IOE) has announced the Centenary Master’s Scholarships for the academic year 2025/26.
These scholarships are aimed at students who aspire to contribute to improving the lives of disadvantaged, excluded, or underperforming individuals in their home countries or elsewhere.

Eligible Programmes:
The scholarships cover full-time, taught Master’s degree programmes at the UCL Institute of Education. However, the following courses are excluded:
- MA Educational Neuroscience
- Online Master’s courses
Number of Scholarships Available:
The exact number of scholarships offered has not been specified.
Eligible Candidates:
The scholarships are open to applicants from countries classified as low or lower-middle income according to the World Bank criteria.

Scholarship Benefits:
Recipients of the Centenary Master’s Scholarship will receive full coverage of tuition fees as well as accommodation at International Students House for one academic year. However, the scholarship does not include living expenses in London, travel costs, or any other additional expenses.
The funding is valid for one academic year, provided the scholarship holder demonstrates satisfactory academic progress.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the Centenary Master’s Scholarship, applicants must:
- Reside in a low or lower-middle income country as defined by the World Bank.
- Have received an unconditional offer for a full-time Master’s degree at the UCL Institute of Education.
- Not have previously lived or studied in the UK.
Application Process:
To apply, candidates must first secure an unconditional offer to study a full-time Master’s programme at the UCL Institute of Education. Once the offer is confirmed, applicants can proceed to fill out and submit the online scholarship application form.
The deadline for scholarship applications is 5 May 2025.
