Stunner gets community service relief

By Showbiz Writer

Rapper Stunner who is currently doing unpaid work at Greendale District Offices as a sentence for a traffic offense that he committed earlier in the year will get relief from Zanzibar come December 2.

The artiste will perform alongside Tanzania Diamond Platinumz and Zimbabwe’s golden boy Jah Prayzah at the Harare International Conference Centre at the gig dubbed Watora Mari Concert.

While he will already have finished his 210 hours sentence by the time of the show; anyone can predict that the 36 year old will most likely be clad in an overall and will take to the stage in gumshoes with either a broom, shovel or rake when he performs.

You just gotta love Stunner.

While the crime cannot be condoned; and many still find him an ‘unlovable’ as a character for various reasons; the maturity with which he has faced this part of his life cannot go unnoticed.

Committing a crime may be a big issue but facing it remains the most difficult part for many.

On the other hand will be Trevor Dongo who after his fracas with street kids at fife Avenue earlier this month is in desperate need for a relief.

Well, Trevor, Stunner, Killer T and EX Q complete the list of performers on the night.
Ex Q on the other hand will definitely need the redemption after the release of his exceptional video for a below average track Bhachura.

One wonders why he made Ammara Brown play such a small role on the track when she had all the magic. Why really?

By any measure the track could have afforded him the much needed break through into the region and even internationally as Ammara is on her way to making a break internationally with her recent tours around the world exposing her.

Apart from that; with her immense talent she would need a serious effort to fail on the grand stage.

With the video sitting on 174,209 hits since October 12, a more dominant Ammara could have worked more magic.

December 2, however will be provide a chance for several performers including Diamond Platnumz himself to endear himself with the hard to please audiences, Stunner, Ex Q and Trevor D to remind the same audiences that the urban grooves movement is still alive and of course killer T to rekindle his romance with audiences.
