“Take Money” is now the best-ranked female boxer across all weight categories in Africa.

Mexico is home to the top-ranked Jackie Nava, Mariana Juarez, and Super Bantamweight world champion Yamileth Mercado.

Additionally, the HICC will host the historic WBC fight, giving Zimbabwean boxing fans a taste of Mexican culture.

The government organized the historic match when the organizers were unable to pull together the logistical prerequisites. It is being sponsored by Delta Force Academy.

The Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Board praised the government for averting disaster yesterday.

Due to budgetary limitations on the side of the organizers, the fight’s planned date of August 27 was changed to October 1.

Before the government stepped in just in time to save the situation, Chiwandire was on the edge of losing the belt without even throwing a punch.

Both the resources for the fight and the money for the boxers’ purses were donated by the government.

This is the first WBC-approved fight that Zimbabwe has ever hosted and only the third time a WBC bout is staged on the African continent.
