Tap and Go Rolls Out Women Empowerment Drive Across Zimbabwe

The recently launched Tap and Go taxi and service facility, introduced by Presidential Investment Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara, is set to bolster the country’s national vision of empowering women countywide, following revelations that the entity is set to employ hundreds of women across the country as operators of the vehicles.

In an interview with this publication, Dr Tungwarara said Tap and Go was not only set revolutionise urban mobility in Zimbabwe but also to create employment and empowerment amongst the general populace.

“Yes, yes and we still empowering we are still investing in the brand but we are employing women as well.

“We moving to Bulawayo next week will launch it there as well and job offers are there for our youths.

Young women’s jobs are there. Its a new normal for the Zimbabwe taxi industry,” said Dr Tungwarara.

While the service’s primary focus is on providing a seamless, connected, and convenient commuting experience, it also promises to create employment opportunitier.

Dr Tungwarara emphasized that Tap and Go is “a commitment to innovation, empowerment, and service excellence”.

The service is set to operate in major cities, starting with Harare and Bulawayo, and offers three premium ride options: Platinum, Gold, and Silver classes
