Tarrus Riley’s brother Kush Riley Passes Away

The reggae world has been rocked by the tragic news of  Ryan known as Kush Riley’s passing in Jamaica yesterday. The 38-year-old brother of international reggae star Tarrus Riley was a beloved figure in the industry, who was popular for his own musical talents and contributions.

Tarrus Riley, sharing the heartbreaking news on his Instagram, expressed his deep sorrow and paid tribute to his younger brother. “Rest Ez ????Ryan Only Jah Knws????. My Younger Brother Ryan that many of u know and Love worldwide has made his Transition and is no longer here with us in the Flesh. Sleepless Days n Restless Nights Trying to make it make sense …????”

While the cause of death has not yet been officially disclosed, the untimely passing of Kush Riley has sent shockwaves through the reggae community. As the son of legendary artist Jimmy Riley, Kush was part of a musical dynasty.

His contributions to the industry, as a performer and behind the scenes, were widely appreciated. He did not ride on his late father Jimmy’s fame or on his global star brother Tarrus’s fame, instead he made it clear publicly that he worked hard on his own musical talents and projects of which he did not disappoint

Some of his hit songs are Mama, Money Series, What a Body, Mad Dem and Seriously Speaking. He also did several collaborations and featured in Reggae. Rock, Roots projects in Jamaica.

The outpouring of grief and condolences from fans and fellow musicians shows Kush Riley’s impact and the love he was held in. As the reggae world mourns the loss of a talented and beloved figure, the memory of Kush Riley will undoubtedly live on.
