Teenager Infected with HIV Found Guilty of Sodomizing Two Underage Victims
A 15-year-old boy from Chimanimani was found guilty of engaging in an act of unnatural sexual intercourse and was placed under the supervision of a probation officer for a duration of one year.
The individual in question, whose identity remains undisclosed for ethical reasons, resides in Tiya Village under the jurisdiction of Chief Muusha.
Recently, the young boy appeared before Mr. Noel Mupeiwa, a regional magistrate in Chipinge, where he faced charges of aggravated indecent assault. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was subsequently convicted.

Mr. Mupeiwa imposed a sentence of five years imprisonment on the boy, but the entire term was suspended on the condition that he refrains from committing any similar offenses within the next five years.
Furthermore, the convicted individual was ordered to undergo supervision and counseling from a probation officer for a period of one year.
During the prosecution, Mr. Themba Dhliwayo presented evidence that the offenses took place between April 28 and May 23. During this time, the teenager was entrusted with the care of the two victims by their grandmother, who had gone to church.
“During the nighttime, the accused engaged in sexual abuse with the victims, who are three and six years old respectively,” Mr. Dhliwayo explained.
“After the abuse, the accused threatened the victims, warning them not to disclose the information to their grandmother, or else he would physically harm them,” he added.
On May 23, when the victims’ grandmother left them once again in the custody of the accused, the minors retaliated by throwing stones at the accused’s bedroom door. In response, the accused threatened to inform their grandmother about the stone-throwing incident. The victims then told the accused that they would also reveal the sexual abuse to their grandmother.
According to Manica Post reports that , Upon the grandmother’s return, the boys disclosed what had transpired. On May 24, she took them to Gwendingwe Clinic for HIV testing, where they tested negative. They were advised to return for further testing after three months. On May 25, the grandmother, accompanied by the victims’ mother, reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused.
