Cargo Handling Assistant: Duties and Responsibilities
As a Cargo Handling Assistant at LC Shipping, you’ll be entrusted with a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring seamless cargo operations.
- Overseeing Freight Forwarding Services: You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of freight forwarding services, including cargo handling, to ensure the smooth flow of goods.
- Customer Inquiry Management: Responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding cargo movements, schedules, and any other related queries.
- Cargo Movement Updates: Providing constant updates to customers regarding the movement of their cargo, keeping them informed throughout the shipping process.
- Warehouse Liaison: Collaborating with warehouse personnel to facilitate the handling and storage of customer goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Cargo Documentation: Creating cargo lists, compiling packing lists for clients, and maintaining accurate records of package inventory
Qualifications and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Educational Background: At least 5 O level passes, including Mathematics and English. Additionally, a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar role within the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
