Think Twice! Doctor Advises Against Stretch Mark Removal Products

Doctor Olawale Ogunlana has advised ladies not to use skin care products that make the claim that they may eliminate stretch marks.

Dr. Ogunlana said in a widely shared video that many of these products can not only be ineffective but also make stretch marks look worse.

“Ladies, be very careful with these formulations that promise miraculous results,” Dr. Ogunlana advised.

“Many products contain harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin, leading to increased visibility of stretch marks instead of their removal.

For many women, stretch marks are a cosmetic concern because they are frequently seen during times of significant weight shift, pregnancy, or hormonal swings.

But there are a ton of oils and creams on the market that claim to be able to get rid of or lessen these marks.

Before attempting new goods, Dr. Ogunlana advised people to do extensive study and speak with medical professionals.

“Always be mindful of what you are putting on your skin and check the ingredients.” “Physical therapy or natural remedies may be safer and more effective in many cases,” Dr. Ogunlana said.

“I encourage  individuals to spread the word about these warnings, underscoring the importance of being informed consumers in the beauty and skin care industry,” He said.
