A 27-year-old woman from Borrowdale, Harare, was violently assaulted and raped at gunpoint by three unidentified men on Saturday.
Tragically, her two young children, aged five months and two years, were also allegedly s*xually assaulted during the attack.
The woman had left her home to purchase airtime at a local shop, carrying her infant daughter on her back and her toddler daughter on her shoulders. As they returned home, they encountered three men at the Pomona Quarry Stones bridge.

The men allegedly tripped the woman, causing her to fall, and then took turns assaulting her. The children were also subjected to the horrific ordeal.
The family’s traumatic experience has left the community in shock, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
