University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship

Overview: The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship is available for new international undergraduate and postgraduate students seeking to pursue taught PGDip or Masters programs of 120 points or more, or undergraduate degrees with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications. This scholarship aims to attract high-caliber international students to enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate taught programs lasting one year or more at the University of Auckland.

Scholarship Coverage: Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded bi-annually, each valued at up to $10,000, for postgraduate and undergraduate study.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be new international students who have received an unconditional offer (or conditional offer for English Language Academy students) of study to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters (taught) of 120 points or more, or an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) at the University of Auckland.
- Generally, applicants should have a grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.
- Selection criteria include academic merit, the quality of the letter of application, and endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The applicant’s country of origin may also be considered by the selection committee.
Application Process: Scholarship applications typically open approximately six weeks before the closing date. The deadline for applications is April 18, 2024, for studies commencing in July 2024 and November 21, 2024, for studies commencing in February 2025.
