Prominent Zimbabwean pastor, Apostle B Mpatsi, has addressed public confusion surrounding his recent statement that masturbation is not inherently sinful.
In a video uploaded to YouTube earlier today, Apostle Mpatsi provided clarification, stating that while the act itself is not a direct sin against God, it can be manipulated by the devil to make believers feel spiritually unworthy or ineffective.

He elaborated that God’s concern lies not in the act of masturbation itself, but in behaviors that dominate one’s mind and lead to condemnation, often resulting in guilt and spiritual stagnation.
Responding to questions raised about his earlier teachings, Apostle Mpatsi encouraged viewers to examine the issue from a biblical standpoint rather than framing it as his personal opinion.

When asked how one could engage in masturbation without falling into sinful thoughts, Mpatsi highlighted the need for Christians to understand sin from a scriptural perspective. “The problem is that many believers do not have a clear grasp of what sin actually is,” he explained.
He directed his audience to revisit his previous teachings on sin for deeper insight, emphasizing, “Sin is not defined by human opinions but by God’s standards and His Word.”
To support his position, Apostle Mpatsi referenced 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6, where the Bible calls for sanctification and avoidance of s*xual immorality.
He urged Christians to honor God by maintaining self-control over their bodies and abstaining from behaviors that dishonor their faith, contrasting such conduct with that of those who do not know God.
He also warned of divine consequences for indulging in sinful acts, as outlined in scripture.
Apostle Mpatsi’s remarks have sparked widespread debate, with some applauding his perspective and others expressing concern. He encouraged believers to seek biblical understanding and approach the subject with a balanced view reqoted in faith.
