Four pit bulls attacked a 28-year-old woman in Namibia Square, Bloemfontein, on Monday afternoon.
The woman had serious injuries to her lower body, and when police arrived, they discovered her dead on the ground.
Emergency Health Services verified her death at the scene. The community was shocked by this horrific incident, which resulted in the police having to put down three of the pit bulls to keep others safe and the SPCA taking custody of the fourth dog and its puppies.
