On Saturday, February 21, 2025, the East End Hall at Harare’s Showgrounds buzzed with excitement as it hosted the African debut of the ‘Young and Chosen’ Tour.
The event drew hundreds of young attendees for an unforgettable evening filled with music, worship, and a spirit of unity.
Organised by GEC, this event featured a blend of international stars and local talent, creating a unique experience tailored for the youth.
The night was headlined by Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Limoblaze and Joe L. Barnes, a former member of Maverick City Music.
Their dynamic performances captivated the audience with a fusion of upbeat Afrobeats and heartfelt gospel worship. The artists engaged with the crowd, fostering an uplifting atmosphere that left attendees feeling inspired.
Before the main acts took the stage, the audience enjoyed high-energy performances from local groups such as Crowned, The Unveiled, and the dance crew Boys of Thunder.
Adding to the excitement, renowned choreographer and dancer Sean Mambwere joined the Salt and Light Chronicles dance group, infusing the event with vibrant movements that complemented the music perfectly.
These local acts each brought their own flair, energising the crowd and building anticipation for the headline performances.
When Limoblaze took to the stage, the audience erupted in dance and song, joining in on his popular tracks like “JIREH (My Provider)” and “Promises.” His infectious enthusiasm kept everyone engaged.
