ZACC Launches Investigation Into Walter Magaya Over Fake Diploma Claim

The Down Fall Of Magaya As Yadah TV Shuts Down on DStv

The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has initiated an investigation into Walter Magaya following concerns over the legitimacy of a diploma he submitted to both the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and the Harare High Court.

ZACC has formally requested documents from ZIFA regarding the materials Magaya submitted in his bid to run for president in the recent ZIFA elections.

The anti-corruption body is also seeking information from the Judicial Service Commission about Magaya’s High Court application, where he challenged ZIFA’s decision to disqualify him from the elections due to his lack of five O’ Levels.

According to official documents seen by ZimLive, ZACC sent the requests on January 31.

At the centre of the investigation is a marketing diploma that Magaya claims she earned from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

However, the university has stated that Magaya is neither a student nor a graduate of the institution, calling any certificate he presents from UNISA “fraudulent.”

Magaya, who submitted a certified copy of the diploma from Waterfalls Police to strengthen his application, argued that the diploma was a higher qualification than the required O’Level passes for the ZIFA position.

UNISA’s statement, issued on January 29, firmly rejected Magaya’s claim.

Magaya, the founder of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministry, is also the owner of Yadah Stars, a team competing in the Premier Soccer League.
