Following the arrival of the International Conference of AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) executive board in Zimbabwe to determine the country’s readiness to host the ICASA conference in 2023, Vice President and Minister of Health, Dr Constantino Chiwenga told the media that Zimbabwe is ready to host ICASA conference in 2023.
“Zimbabwe is ready to host ICASA conference next year in Victoria falls because we have hosted this significant event before in 2015 in Harare including the United Nations World Tourism Organization Conference (UNWTO) in Victoria Falls. We have the capacity to host ICASA,” he said. “Victoria Falls has been upgraded, earning city status, and the infrastructure meets the needs of hosting such a huge conference.”
Equally the delegation was impressed by the huge development that they witnessed upon arrival in the country. They applauded and expressed their confidence in that Zimbabwe might win the race against Kenya in the bid to host ICASA next year 2023. The assessment delegation is being led by the ICASA executive director Dr Luc Armand Bodea.
