Zimbabwe Sables team defeated Namibia 32–10 with a resounding performance of grit and determination in the Rugby Africa Cup semi-finals at Mutesa 11 Stadium in Kampala, Uganda yesterday afternoon.
The Sables, who are now placed 30th in the World Rugby rankings, showed off their strength early on in the match, defeating the 24th-ranked Namibians and the reigning champions 14-3 at the break.
With this win, Zimbabwe has defeated Namibia for the first time since 2001, demonstrating their comeback in African rugby.
Zimbabwe’s next test will come on Saturday when they play Algeria in the Rugby Africa Cup final.

With a shock 20–12 victory over Kenya, led by four penalties from outstanding fullback Julien Caminati, Algeria guaranteed their berth in the championship game.
Rugby skill on a competitive level has been on display in Uganda’s Wankulukuku Stadium and the Mandela National Stadium as part of the Rugby Africa Cup, which comprises the top eight African nations.
The competition, which takes place from July 20 to July 28, has brought attention to newly formed rugby nations in the continent, including as Uganda, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cote D’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.
Zimbabwe’s advancement to the final sets the stage for a thrilling finale against Algeria, promising an exciting conclusion to this year’s Rugby Africa Cup.
