Zimbabwe’s tourism industry has witnessed a substantial surge in the first half of 2023, with tourist arrivals spiking by an impressive 50%.

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) announced today that the country welcomed a total of 529,078 visitors during this period, signaling a momentous boost for the nation’s economy and its growing tourism sector.

The positive momentum is not limited to arrivals alone; tourism receipts have also seen a significant upswing. According to official figures released by the ZTA, tourism receipts climbed by 16%, reaching a substantial US$343.1 million in the first six months of the year. This notable increase in revenue underlines the growing appeal of Zimbabwe as a sought-after destination for global travelers.
